Rosie Sleightholme
Rosie is passionate about bringing people together in joyful harmony and can’t wait to teach some of her own songs at her Voice Camp workshop.
Rosie is a choir leader, composer and singer based in Bristol. She runs three joyful and soul nourishing community choirs in South Bristol (People of Note, The Rising Sun Singers and Folks & Bairns Parent and Baby Choir). She loves to run workshops, and will be running her new Saturday Sings series in Bristol in 2024, inviting other choir composers to join her for a day of teaching their own compositions (in date order these are: Helen Chadwick, Katy Rose Bennett, Emily Roblyn, Anna Tabbush, Ben See and Helen Yeomans).
Coming to choir leading when she was pregnant, her parent and baby choir has featured in Classic FM and on BBC TV and radio, with Rosie advocating the fantastic benefits of singing on pre and postnatal mental health.
Writing and performing her own music as a solo artist for nearly two decades (Utterly wonderful stuff’ – BBC Radio), Rosie loves to compose accessible, harmonically satisfying and inspiring songs that bring people together and lift their spirits. She loved teaching her song ‘Crown of the Song’ last year (listen here) and she can’t wait to return to Voice Camp in 2024 to teach ongoing workshops from Thursday-Saturday.
