Katy Bennett
Katy is a songwriter, performer and community choir leader from Birmingham and will be teaching arrangements of some of her own folk(ish) songs. Everyone welcome!
Katy has been writing and performing her own music for over 20 years and running community choirs and workshops in her adopted home of Birmingham for the last 15. She has released 7 critically acclaimed albums including her most recent ‘Alone On A Hill’, described by Songlines magazine as “Lingering spell-craft of multi-layered acappella vocals”. Katy is known for her energetic and easy teaching style and can’t wait to be back singing in the field at Unicorn again this year where she’ll be teaching 4 or 5-part original a cappella arrangements.
