Sylvan Barreau

I am honoured and delighted to be invited to this team for this valuable work. I was born in France and have resided in the UK since 2008. My journey to self-realisation started in my teens with questions around social acceptance and authenticity.

Early on, I found guidance in informal silence. The practice of silence continues to support me after over two decades of daily sitting meditation and extended retreats.
An excruciating emotional awakening has led me to learn about non-violent communication, family constellations, men’s work, jungian psychology…

I am now working also as a “transformational coach”, and group facilitator in “transformative communication”. I am doing so under the mentorship of the Satvatove institute where I also consider and take on the challenge of studying the Bhagavad Gita and other ancient vedic scriptures.

I am passionate about the need to bring a different kind of education to the young generation to provide some of what I didn’t get.
To that end, in recent years, I also co-created a teenage circle under the umbrella of JournemanUK, a mentoring charity reintroducing the principles of rites of passage adventures into adulthood for teen boys.
